6. Formal Translation
Samuel was displeased when they said, “Give us a king to judge us,” and he prayed to the LORD {Yahweh, Covenant Judge}.
6. Dynamic Translation
When the people asked, “Give us a king to judge us,” Samuel regarded it as wrong, so he prayed to the LORD {Yahweh, Righteous Leader}.
