5. Formal Translation Because our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit {Pneuma Hagion, Divine Empowering Presence}, and with much full assurance, just as you know what kind of people we became among you for your sake. |
5. Dynamic Translation For our gospel did not reach you with words alone, but with power and with the Holy Spirit {Pneuma Hagion, Confirming Witness}, and with deep conviction. You yourselves know how we lived among you for your benefit. |
