Thessalonians 1TAB

Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, to the assembly of the Thessalonians in God the Father {Theos, Sustaining Father} and the Lord Jesus Christ {Kyrios Iesous Christos, Ruling Messiah}: Grace to you and peace.

We give thanks to God {Theos, Worthy Of Thanks} always concerning all of you, making remembrance of you in our prayers unceasingly {adialeiptos: without interruption}.

Remembering before our God and Father {Theos Pater, Attentive Witness} your work of faith, and labor of love, and endurance of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ {Kyrios Iesous Christos, Sure Hope}.

We know, brothers beloved by God {Theos, Gracious Chooser}, your election {ekloge: divine selection}.

Because our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit {Pneuma Hagion, Divine Empowering Presence}, and with much full assurance {plerophoria: complete certainty}, just as you know what kind of people we became among you for your sake.

And you became imitators of us and of the Lord {Kyrios, Supreme Example}, having received the word in much affliction with joy of the Holy Spirit {pneuma hagiou, Divine Encourager}.

So that you became an example {tupon: visible model} to all the believers {pisteuousin: trusting ones} in Macedonia and in Achaia.

For from you the word {logos: proclaimed message} of the Lord {Kyrios, Proclaimed Master} has sounded forth, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but in every place your faith {pistis: steadfast trust} toward God {Theos, One Receiving Faith} has gone out, so that we have no need to say anything.

For they themselves report concerning us what kind of entrance we had to you, and how you turned to God {Theos, Only True Deity} from idols {eidola: man-made images} to serve a living and true God.

And to wait for His Son from the heavens, whom He raised from the dead—Jesus {Iesous, Risen Deliverer}, the One delivering us from the coming wrath {orge: final judgment}.
