16. Formal Translation
And by common confession, great is the mystery of godliness: He {Christos, Incarnate Lord} who was manifested in flesh, was justified in spirit, was seen by angels, was proclaimed among nations, was believed in the world, was taken up in glory.
16. Dynamic Translation
We all agree that the secret of godliness is truly great: He {Christos, Vindicated Son} appeared in a human body, was proven right by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was announced to the nations, trusted in throughout the world, and taken up into glory.
