4. Formal Translation
But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them first learn to show reverence within their own household and to give recompense to their forebears; for this is acceptable before God {Theos, Approving Judge}.
4. Dynamic Translation
If a widow has children or grandchildren, they should first learn to practice devotion at home and to repay their parents and grandparents, because this is pleasing in the sight of God {Theos, Pleased Father}.
