Exegesis

The clause “the battle, front and behind” uses panim {פָּנִ֣ים | pā-nîm} ‘front’ and veachor {וְאָחֹ֔ור | wə-ʾā-ḥōr} ‘behind’ as a paired spatial frame to stress encirclement and urgency.
