Formal Translation And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “There remains one man through whom we may inquire of the LORD {Yahweh, Source of Guidance}, but I hate him, for he never prophesies good for me—only evil—Micaiah son of Imlah.” Jehoshaphat said, “Let not the king speak that way.” |

Dynamic Translation Israel’s king answered Jehoshaphat, “There is one more man we could consult to hear the LORD {Yahweh, True Message Giver}, but I despise him because he always predicts trouble for me, never anything good—Micaiah son of Imlah.” Jehoshaphat replied, “You should not say that.” |
