7. Formal Translation
And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “There remains one man through whom we may inquire of the LORD {Yahweh, Source of Guidance}, but I hate him, for he never prophesies good for me—only evil—Micaiah son of Imlah.” Jehoshaphat said, “Let not the king speak that way.”
7. Dynamic Translation
Israel’s king answered Jehoshaphat, “There is one more man we could consult to hear the LORD {Yahweh, True Message Giver}, but I despise him because he always predicts trouble for me, never anything good—Micaiah son of Imlah.” Jehoshaphat replied, “You should not say that.”
