Exegesis

The nominal clause ki lo lachem hammilchamah ki Elohim {כִּי לֹא לָכֶם הַמִּלְחָמָה כִּי אֶל־אֱלֹהִים} ‘for the battle is not yours but God’s’ inverts word order to highlight divine ownership. The English rendering preserves this structure and theological intensity.
