8. Formal Translation May the LORD your God {Yahweh Eloheikha, Covenant Keeper} be blessed, who delighted in you to place you on His throne as king for the LORD your God. In the love of your God for Israel, to establish them forever, He made you king over them to execute justice and righteousness. |
8. Dynamic Translation Blessed be the LORD your God {Yahweh Eloheikha, Faithful Protector}, who was pleased with you and set you on His throne as king for the LORD your God. Because your God loves Israel and intends to uphold them forever, He made you king over them to administer righteousness and justice. |
