12. Formal Translation For this is our boast: the testimony of our conscience, that in holiness and sincerity from God {Theos, Divine Guarantor}, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God, we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially toward you. |
12. Dynamic Translation Our proud confidence is this: the witness of our conscience that we lived with holiness and godly sincerity, not relying on human wisdom but by the grace of God {Theos, Divine Enabler} in the world, and even more so in our dealings with you. |
