I, Paul, am appealing to you through the meekness and gentleness of Christ {Christos, Perfect Gentle Model}—I who, face to face, am lowly among you, yet when absent I speak boldly toward you.

I, Paul, urge you by the humility and kindness of Christ {Christos, Patient Serving Lord}. When I am with you I come gently, but when I am away I speak with confidence toward you.
