7. Formal Translation
So that, on the contrary, you should rather forgive and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one be swallowed up by excessive sorrow.
7. Dynamic Translation
Instead, you should forgive and encourage him, so that he is not overwhelmed by too much sorrow.
