11. Formal Translation Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord {Kyrios, Revered Judge}, we persuade people but have been made manifest to God {Theos, All-Seeing Witness}, and I hope that we are also made manifest in your consciences. |
11. Dynamic Translation Since we know what it means to fear the Lord {Kyrios, Righteous Judge}, we work to persuade others. We are fully known before God {Theos, All-Knowing Judge}, and I hope it is equally clear to your consciences. |
