9. Formal Translation For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ {Kyrios Iesous Christos, Self-Giving Redeemer}, that though He was rich, for your sake He chose to become poor, so that through His poverty you might become rich. |
9. Dynamic Translation You already understand the lavish grace of our Lord Jesus Christ {Kyrios Iesous Christos, Generous Savior} toward you, that even though He possessed riches, He entered poverty for your sake, so that through His poverty you might receive true riches. |
