15. Formal Translation From there Jehu proceeded and came upon Jehonadab son of Rechab as he was approaching to greet him. He blessed him and said, “Is your heart upright toward me, as my heart is toward you?” Jehonadab replied, “It is; it is.” Then Jehu said, “Give me your hand.” So he gave him his hand, and Jehu brought him up into the chariot. |
15. Dynamic Translation Jehu went on from there and met Jehonadab son of Rechab, who was on his way to greet him. He blessed him and asked, “Do you truly have a sincere heart for me as I have for you?” Jehonadab answered, “Yes.” Then Jehu said, “Give me your hand,” and Jehonadab gave him his hand. Jehu then helped him into the chariot. |
