The vav-consecutive Piel imperfect vayenashel {וַיְנַשֵּׁ֥ל | way-ya-naš-šēl} “and he expelled” intensifies the removal of hayehudim {הַיְהוּדִ֖ים | ha-yə-hû-ḏîm} “the Judeans” from meʾelot {מֵֽאֵיל֑וֹת | mē-ʾê-lōṯ}, with the prepositional meʾelot indicating origin.
