וַיְחַפְּא֣וּ{va-ye-kha-PE-u###vah-yeh-khah-PEH-oo###and they did secretly} בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל{ve-NEI-yis-ra-EL###veh-NEE-yihs-rah-EEL###sons of Israel} דְּבָרִים֙{de-va-RIM###deh-vah-REEM###words or things} אֲשֶׁ֣ר{a-SHER###ah-SHEHR###which} לֹא־כֵ֔ן{lo-KHEN###loh-KEEN###not so, not right} עַל־יְהוָ֖ה{al-ye-ho-VAH###ahl-yeh-hoh-VAH###against the LORD} אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֑ם{e-lo-HE-hem###eh-loh-HEE-hehm###their God} וַיִּבְנ֨וּ{va-yiv-NU###vah-yihv-NOO###and they built} לָהֶ֤ם{la-HEM###laa-HEHM###for themselves} בָּמוֹת֙{ba-MOT###baa-MOHT###high places} בְּכָל־עָ֣רֵיהֶ֔ם{be-khol-a-re-HEM###beh-khol-ah-reh-HEHM###in all their cities} מִמִּגְדַּ֥ל{mim-mig-DAL###mihm-mihg-DAHL###from a tower} נוֹצְרִ֖ים{no-tse-RIM###noh-tseh-REEM###watchers or guards} עַד־עִ֥יר{ad-IR###ahd-EER###up to a city} מִבְצָֽר׃{miv-TSAR###mihv-TSAAR###fortified, stronghold}
