14. Formal Translation
And Hezekiah, king of Judah, sent to the king of Assyria at Lachish, saying, “I have sinned. Withdraw from me, and whatever you impose upon me I will bear.” Then the king of Assyria imposed on Hezekiah, king of Judah, three hundred talents of silver and thirty talents of gold.
14. Dynamic Translation
So Hezekiah, king of Judah, sent this message to the king of Assyria at Lachish: “I have done wrong; withdraw from me, and I will pay whatever you demand.” Then the king of Assyria placed on Hezekiah, king of Judah, 300 talents of silver and 30 talents of gold.
