Exegesis

The emphatic identification attah hu haelohim {אַתָּה־הוּא הָאֱלֹהִים | ʾat-tāh hûʾ hā-ʾĕ-lō-hîm} ‘You, He, are the God’ combines an independent pronoun and a copular element to heighten exclusivity; levaddekha {לְבַדְּךָ | lə-ḇad-de-kā} ‘alone’ then sharpens the confession.

veet-haaretz {אֶת־הַשָּׁמַיִם וְאֶת־הָאָרֶץ | ʾeṯ-haš-šā-mā-yim wə-ʾeṯ-hā-ʾā-reṣ}, forming a climactic confession: the One addressed as Israel’s God is also the Maker of the entire cosmos.
