Exegesis

The imperative tsav {צַו | ṣāv} takes the object lveitecha {לְבֵיתֶךָ | lə-bē-ṯe-kha} “your house,” here a metaphor for family line and legacy, while met velo tichyeh {מֵת וְלֹא תִחְיֶה | mēṯ wə-lō ti-ḥyê} “and you will not live” delivers the irrevocable pronouncement.
