The coordinated lemaani {לְמַעֲנִי | lǝma‘ănî} ‘for my sake’ and ulemaan david avdi {וּלְמַעַן דָּוִד עַבְדִּי | ū-lǝma‘an dāwîḏ ʿăbaddî} ‘and for the sake of David my servant’ close the promise by linking divine motives to covenant faithfulness.
