| 19. Formal Translation And also, Josiah removed all the houses of the high places that were in the cities of Samaria, which the kings of Israel had made to provoke the LORD {Yahweh, Covenant Enforcer}, and he did to them according to all the deeds which he had done in Bethel. |
| 19. Dynamic Translation Josiah also tore down every shrine at the high places in the towns of Samaria that Israel’s kings had built to anger the LORD {Yahweh, Righteous Judge}, and he treated them just as he had done in Bethel. |
