Exegesis

The Qal perfect lā-qaḥ {לָקַח | lā-qaḥ} ‘he took’ conveys Jehoahaz’s removal, followed by the vav consecutive Qal imperfect vayabo {וַיָּבֹא | wa-yā-ḇō} ‘and he went’ with the locative miṣ-ra-yim {מִצְרַיִם | miṣ-ra-yim} ‘Egypt,’ indicating displacement.
