Exegesis

The sequence closes with the vav consecutive Qal imperfect vayyāmaṯ {וַיָּ֥מָת | wa-yā-māṯ} ‘and he died’ modified by šām {שָֽׁם | šām} ‘there,’ preserving the Hebrew narrative flow and geographic emphasis.
