Exegesis

The adversative particle akh {אַ֚ךְ | ʾaḵ} ‘however’ pivots from the payment itself to the means of raising it: he'erikh {הֶעֱרִ֣יךְ | heʿĕrîḵ} ‘he assessed’ takes et-haaretz {אֶת־הָאָ֔רֶץ | ʾeṯ-hāʾāreṣ} ‘(direct object) the land,’ and the following infinitive latet {לָתֵ֥ת | lāṯēṯ} ‘to give’ expresses purpose, moving toward et-hakesef {אֶת־הַכֶּ֖סֶף | ʾeṯ-hākésep̄} ‘(direct object) the silver.’
