Exegesis

Two sequential verbs, vayisrefem {וַֽיִּשְׂרְפֵם | va-yi-sre-phem} ‘and he burned them’ and venasa {וְנָשָׂא | wə-nā-sāʾ} ‘and he carried’, describe destruction outside Jerusalem (mikhuts lirushalayim) in the fields of Kidron and disposal at Bethel.
