Formal Translation And the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest, and the priests of the second order, and the doorkeepers to bring out from the temple of the LORD {Yahweh, Worship Purifier} all the vessels that had been made for Baal and for the Asherah and for the host of the heavens. And he burned them outside Jerusalem in the fields of Kidron and carried their ashes to Bethel. |

Dynamic Translation The king ordered Hilkiah the chief priest, the second-ranking priests and the doorkeepers to remove from the temple of the LORD {Yahweh, Sanctuary Cleanser} all the articles made for Baal, for Asherah and for the entire host of heaven. He burned them outside Jerusalem in the fields of Kidron and brought the ashes to Bethel. |
