1. Formal Translation And Naaman, commander of the army of the king of Aram, was a great man in the presence of his master and favored, because by him the LORD {Yahweh, Victory Bestower} gave deliverance to Aram; yet the man was mighty in valor, a leper. |
1. Dynamic Translation Naaman was the chief commander for the king of Aram. He mattered greatly to his master and was held in high regard, because the LORD {Yahweh, Battle Deliverer} gave Aram deliverance through him. He was a strong, proven fighter, but he had leprosy. |
