13. Formal Translation Then his servants approached and spoke to him and said, “My father, if the prophet has spoken a great thing to you, would you not do it? And how much more when he simply says to you, ‘Wash and be clean’?” |
13. Dynamic Translation But his servants came near and said to him, “Father, if the prophet had asked you to do something difficult, would you not have done it? How much more when he simply tells you, ‘Wash and be clean’?” |
