26. Formal Translation And he said to him, “Was not my heart with you when the man turned from his chariot to meet you? Is this the time to take the silver and the garments, and the olives and the vineyards, and the flocks and the cattle, and the servants and the maidservants?” |
26. Dynamic Translation But he replied, “Was not my heart with you when that man turned back from his chariot to meet you? Is this the time to receive money or to accept clothes, or to gain olive groves and vineyards, or to take flocks and cattle, or to recruit servants and maidservants?” |
