25. Formal Translation
And it happened that there was a great famine in Samaria, and behold, they were besieging it until a donkey’s head was sold for eighty pieces of silver, and a quarter of a kab of doves’ dung for five pieces of silver.
25. Dynamic Translation
During the siege, a severe famine struck Samaria, so that a donkey’s head sold for eighty pieces of silver, and just a small portion—a quarter of a kab—of doves’ dung cost five pieces of silver.
