2. Formal Translation
And the officer who was leaning on the king’s hand answered the man of God and said, “Behold, even if the LORD {Yahweh, Miracle Worker} opened windows in the heavens, could this happen?” Then Elisha said, “Behold, you will see it with your own eyes but from there you will not eat.”
2. Dynamic Translation
The king’s aide, who leaned on the king’s arm, replied to the man of God, “Look, even if the LORD {Yahweh, Source of Wonders} opened the floodgates of the sky, could this really happen?” Elisha replied, “You will see it with your own eyes, but you will not eat any of it.”
