4. Formal Translation
And David said to him, “What has happened? Tell me.” And he replied, “The people have fled from the battle, and many have fallen and died, and also Saul and Jonathan his son are dead.”
4. Dynamic Translation
David asked him, “What happened? Tell me.” He answered, “The people fled from the battle, and many fell and died. Saul and his son Jonathan are also dead.”
