6. Formal Translation
The young man reporting to him said, “By chance I happened to be on Mount Gilboa, and behold, Saul was leaning on his spear, and behold, the chariots and the horsemen were closing in on him.”
6. Dynamic Translation
The young man bringing the news told him, “I happened to be on Mount Gilboa, and I saw Saul leaning on his spear. Suddenly the chariots and riders were right behind him, closing in.”
