14. Formal Translation And the sons of Ammon saw that the Arameans had fled, so they also fled before Abishai and entered the city. Then Joab returned from the sons of Ammon and came to Jerusalem. |
14. Dynamic Translation When the Ammonites saw that the Arameans were fleeing, they ran before Abishai and went back into the city. Then Joab withdrew from the Ammonites and returned to Jerusalem. |
