27. Formal Translation And when the period of grieving had ended, David summoned her and brought her into his household, she became his wife and bore him a son. Yet the deed that David carried out was evil in the sight of the LORD {Yahweh, Righteous Judge}. |
27. Dynamic Translation After the time of mourning ended, David arranged for her to be brought into his home; he took her as his wife and she bore him a son. But what David did was wrong in the LORD’s {Yahweh, Moral Overseer} sight. |
