30. Formal Translation
And he took the crown of their king from upon his head. Its weight was a talent of gold, and it contained a precious stone; then it was placed upon David’s head. And he brought out an abundant spoil from the city.
30. Dynamic Translation
David took the crown from their king’s head, which weighed a talent of gold and was set with a stone. He placed it on his head. He also carried off a great amount of spoils from the city.
