9. Formal Translation
Why have you despised the word of the LORD {Yahweh, Moral Judge} by doing what is evil in My eyes? You struck Uriah the Hittite with the sword and took his wife for yourself as a wife, and you killed him with the sword of the sons of Ammon.
9. Dynamic Translation
Why did you treat the LORD’s {Yahweh, Righteous Evaluator} command with contempt by doing what is wrong in My sight? You struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword, took his wife for yourself, and killed him with the sword of the Ammonites.
