Exegesis

The Hiphil imperative havii {הָבִ֤יאִי | hāvîyî} ‘bring’ issues a direct command to Tamar, whereas the Qal cohortative we-evreh {וְאֶבְרֶ֖ה | və-ʾeḇ-rē} ‘and I will eat’ expresses Amnon’s desire.
