20. Formal Translation And Absalom, her brother, said to her, “Is it Amnon, your brother, who was with you? Now, my sister, be silent; he is your brother. Do not set your heart on this matter.” So Tamar dwelled in the house of Absalom, her brother. |
20. Dynamic Translation Absalom, her brother, asked her, “Was it your brother Amnon who was with you? Now, my sister, stay quiet; he is still your brother. Do not let this consume your heart.” Then Tamar lived, broken and alone, in her brother Absalom’s house. |
