25. Formal Translation And the king said to Absalom, “No, my son, please do not let us all go, lest we be a burden to you.” Though Absalom urged him, he would not go, but blessed him. |
25. Dynamic Translation But the king replied to Absalom, “No, my son, do not propose that we all go—otherwise, we would become a heavy load to you.” Although Absalom pressed him, the king refused to go but gave him his blessing. |
