2 Samuel 13:25:1וַיֹּ֨אמֶרvayomerand he said
2 Samuel 13:25:2הַמֶּ֜לֶךְhamelekhthe king 2 Samuel 13:25:3אֶל־אַבְשָׁל֗וֹםelavshalomto Absalom 2 Samuel 13:25:4אַל־בְּנִי֙albenino, my son 2 Samuel 13:25:5אַל־נָ֤אalnaplease not 2 Samuel 13:25:6נֵלֵךְ֙nelekhlet us go 2 Samuel 13:25:7כֻּלָּ֔נוּkullanuall of us 2 Samuel 13:25:8וְלֹ֥אveloand not 2 Samuel 13:25:9נִכְבַּ֖דnikbadlet us be burdensome or be heavy 2 Samuel 13:25:10עָלֶ֑יךָalekhaupon you 2 Samuel 13:25:11וַיִּפְרָץ־בּ֛וֹvayifratsboand he urged him 2 Samuel 13:25:12וְלֹֽא־אָבָ֥הveloavabut he was not willing 2 Samuel 13:25:13לָלֶ֖כֶתlalekhetto go 2 Samuel 13:25:14וַֽיְבָרֲכֵֽהוּ׃vayevarakhehuand he blessed him
25. Formal Translation
And the king said to Absalom, “No, my son, please do not let us all go, lest we be a burden to you.” Though Absalom urged him, he would not go, but blessed him.
25. Dynamic Translation
But the king replied to Absalom, “No, my son, do not propose that we all go—otherwise, we would become a heavy load to you.” Although Absalom pressed him, the king refused to go but gave him his blessing.
