| 19. Formal Translation And the king said, “Is the hand of Joab with you in all this?” And the woman answered and said, “As surely as the soul of my lord the king lives, no one can turn to the right or to the left from anything my lord the king has spoken, for your servant Joab commanded me and put all these words into the mouth of your maidservant.” |
| 19. Dynamic Translation The king asked, “Is Joab involved in all this?” The woman replied, “As surely as you live, my lord the king, no one can avoid anything my lord the king says. Your servant Joab gave me the instructions and put these exact words in my mouth.” |
