Exegesis

The simile ke’ishah zeh yamim rabbim mit’abbelet al-met {כְּאִשָּׁה זֶה יָמִים רַבִּים מִתְאַבֵּלֶת עַל־מֵת | kə-ʼiššāh zeh yāmîm rabbîm mitʼabbēleṯ ʿal-mēt} ‘like a woman who has mourned many days for the dead’ employs a participle to convey ongoing state and set her role.
