Exegesis

The clause kî nibʾaštā et-ʾăvîḵā {כִּֽי־נִבְאַ֣שְׁתָּ אֶת־אָבִ֔יךָ | kî nibʾaštā et-ʾăvîḵā} employs the Nifal perfect to express that Absalom has become abhorred by his father.
