וַיִּקְח֣וּ{va-yik-KHU###vah-yik-KHOO###and they took} אֶת־אַבְשָׁלֹ֗ום{et-AV-sha-LOM###eht-AV-shah-LOHM###(direct object marker) Absalom} וַיַּשְׁלִכֻּ֙הוּ֙{va-yash-li-KHU-hu###vah-yash-li-KHUH-hoo###and they threw him} בַּיַּ֔עַר{ba-YA-ar###bah-YA-ahr###in the forest} אֶל־הַפַּ֣חַת{el-ha-PA-khat###ehl-hah-PAH-khaht###into the pit} הַגָּדֹ֑ול{ha-ga-DOL###hah-gah-DOL###the great} וַיַּצִּ֧בוּ{va-yat-si-VU###vah-yat-see-VOO###and they set up} עָלָ֛יו{a-LAV###aa-LAAV###over him} גַּל־אֲבָנִ֥ים{gal-a-va-NIM###gahl-ah-vah-NEEM###a heap of stones} גָּדֹ֖ול{ga-DOL###gaa-DOL###great} מְאֹ֑ד{me-OD###meh-OHD###very} וְכָל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל{ve-khol-yis-ra-EL###veh-khol-yihs-rah-EEL###and all Israel} נָס֖וּ{na-SU###naa-SOO###fled} אִ֥ישׁ{ISH###EESH###a man or each one} לְאֹהָלָֽיו׃ס{le-o-ha-LAV###leh-oh-hah-LAAV###to his tent}
