2 Samuel 19:26:1וַיֹּאמַ֕רvayomerand he said
2 Samuel 19:26:2אֲדֹנִ֥יadonimy lord 2 Samuel 19:26:3הַמֶּ֖לֶךְhamelekhthe king 2 Samuel 19:26:4עַבְדִּ֣יavdimy servant 2 Samuel 19:26:5רִמָּ֑נִיrimmanideceived me 2 Samuel 19:26:6כִּי־אָמַ֣רkiamarfor he said 2 Samuel 19:26:7עַבְדְּךָ֗avdekhayour servant 2 Samuel 19:26:8אֶחְבְּשָׁה־לִּ֨יekhbeshaliI will saddle for myself 2 Samuel 19:26:9הַֽחֲמ֜וֹרhakhamorthe donkey 2 Samuel 19:26:10וְאֶרְכַּ֣בveerkavand I will ride 2 Samuel 19:26:11עָלֶ֣יהָ֮alehaon it 2 Samuel 19:26:12וְאֵלֵ֣ךְveelekhand I will go 2 Samuel 19:26:13אֶת־הַמֶּ֒לֶךְ֒ethamelekhwith the king 2 Samuel 19:26:14כִּ֥יkifor 2 Samuel 19:26:15פִסֵּ֖חַfisseakhlame 2 Samuel 19:26:16עַבְדֶּֽךָ׃avdekhayour servant
26. Formal Translation
And he said, “My lord the king, my servant deceived me, for I said, ‘I will saddle the donkey for myself, ride on it, and go with the king,’ because your servant is lame.”
26. Dynamic Translation
He answered, “My lord the king, my servant tricked me. I said, ‘I will saddle the donkey for myself so that I may ride it and go with the king,’ because your servant is lame.”
