The first kî {כִּי | kî} clauses causally link rimmānî {רִמַּנִי | rimmānî} ‘deceived me’ to the nested quotation beginning with ’āmar ’avdekā {אָמַר עַבְדְּךָ | ’āmar ’ăḇdekā} ‘your servant said.’
