| 6. Formal Translation To love those who hate you and to hate those who love you, for you have declared today that neither princes nor servants matter to you. For I know today that if Avshalom were alive and we were all dead today, it would be right in your eyes. |
| 6. Dynamic Translation You love those who hate you and hate those who love you. Today you have shown that commanders and servants do not matter to you. I can plainly see that if Avshalom were alive today and all of us were dead, that would have seemed just to you. |
