21. Formal Translation
Abner said to him, “Turn aside to your right or to your left, seize for yourself one of the young men and take his armor.” But Asahel was not willing to turn aside from following him.
21. Dynamic Translation
Abner spoke to him, “Go off to the right or to the left; pick out one of the younger men and take his armor for yourself.” But Asahel refused to stop chasing him.
