The imperative tenu-oto {תְּנוּ־אֹת֣וֹ | tə-nû-’ō-tô} ‘hand him over’ demands singular surrender, and the cohortative ve-’elkha {וְאֵלְכָ֖ה | wə-’êl-kā} ‘and I will withdraw’ promises removal of siege.
